Ford introduced the seventh generation of the Country Squire for the 1969 model year. This seventh generation was based on the Ford LTD, and featuring an increase in wheelbase over the previous generation. This series of wood paneled, four door station wagons was offered with a variety of V8 engines, ranging from 302ci to 460ci in displacement. Both manual and automatic 3 speed transmissions were available for the seventh generation Country Squire, which was built until 1978, and replaced by the Eighth Generation Ford Country Squire.
