The Ford Crown Victoria was a series of full size sedans that were introduced for the 1992 model year. The Crown Victoria was built in two generations (1992-1997, 1998-2012), and although production continued until 2012, Ford ended sale of the Crown Victoria to the public in 2006. Prior to taking the model off-market, the Crown Victoria was barely purchased by the public, with the majority of sales coming from fleet vehicles (police, taxi, etc). Production of fleet vehicles continued until 2012.
