Due to the popularity of the 1948-1950 Ford F-Series, these trucks were commonly converted into Custom vehicles. The body was redesigned to be larger and more accommodating for a broader range of customers and markets. While the F-1 was most familiar as a 6 1/2' pickup bed, multiple configurations were available, including a parcel delivery truck, panel truck, 8' pick up, platform/stake, and cab-only bed. Often restored and modified by enthusiasts, these trucks frequently see engine and drivetrain swaps, custom exterior treatments and paint jobs, and even custom frame applications. Over 500,000 ford F-Series trucks were sold during 1948-1950. Ford restyled the F-Series trucks in 1951.
