The second generation of Ford LTD was introduced for the 1969 model year. The second generation LTD saw updated styling, and a longer wheelbase. A variety of body styles were offered, with hardtop, sedan, coupe, convertible, and station wagon (Country Squire) variants. This generation of LTD was powered by a range of V8 engines, ranging from 4.9L to 7.5L in displacement. Production of the second generation LTD ended in 1978 with the introduction of the Third Generation Ford LTD.
