The 2011 to 2014 GT/California Special S-197 II (GT/CS) is a special edition based on the 5th generation Mustang GT. The special edition came in convertible or coupe body style. The CS package included a number of interior and exterior upgrades, such as a revised front and rear fascia that gave the car a more menacing appearance. Nineteen-inch wheels were designed specifically for the CS, and the external refresh also included new badging and distinctive stripes running along the length of the body. The interior features leather upholstered seats with carbon inserts. Under the hood was Ford's new 5.0L V8. Just 3,642 examples were made. The GT/CS would return in Mustang's 6th Generation.
