The fourth generation of the Holden Commodore Ute debuted in 2007 and the last Ute was built in 2017. GM's powerful LS motors eventually found their way into the Ute before its demise and the VE based Ute was supposed to give way to a U.S. market Ute, but it never materialized. The HSV Maloo would also continue production during this last stretch for the Ute.
