As the first Lamborghini car sold to the public, the 350 GT has the distinct history of being the launching point for the revered marque. Featuring a 3.5 L V12 engine, the 350 GT began the tradition of V12 engined Lamborghinis which continues to this day. Noted for its refinement, performance, and drive-ability, the success of the 350 GT enabled Lamborghini to place itself as a viable competitor to already established makes. While all original 350 GTs featured the 3.5L V12, it is common to find upgraded models that feature the later 4.0L V12, making original-engined 350 GTs a rare find in the market. When production ended in 1967, a total of 120 examples had been built.
