The Lexus ES is a series of mid size luxury sedans built by Lexus starting in 1990. Initially created so the Lexus brand would launch with more than just the flagship LS 400, the ES was positioned as a more entry level Lexus. The ES has been built over seven generations: The V20 (1990-1991), the XV10 (1992-1996), the XV20 (1997-2001), the XV30 (2002-2006), the XV40 (2007-2012), the XV60 (2013-2018), and the XZ10 (2019-2021).
