The Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor was a variant of the W203 C-Class that debuted for the 2001 model year. The C 230 Kompressor was offered in sedan and station wagon body styles, and was initially powered by Mercedes' M111.981 supercharged 2.3L inline four engine, but from the 2004 model year, the M272 KE18ML engine, which was a 1.8L supercharged inline four. Both engines produced around 190hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via manual or automatic transmission options. Production of the Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor ended in 2005, when the model series was discontinued.
