The Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG was the top variant offered for the C216 CL-Class that debuted for the 2008 model year. The CL 65 AMG was a high performance luxury coupe that featured Mercedes' M275 E60 powerplant, which was a 6.0L twin-turbo V12. This massive engine generated 604hp and 738 lb ft of torque, which it sent to the rear wheels through a 5 speed automatic transmission. For 2011, an update to the M275 gave the CL65 AMG a total output of 621hp, while torque remained the same. Production of the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG ended in 2014 when the model was discontinued.
