The CLK550 was a variant of the Mercedes-Benz CLK that was introduced for the 2007 model year. Debuting as part of the Second Generation W209 CLK, the CLK 550 was availabe in Coupe and Convertible body styles, and was powered by Mercedes' M273 E55 engine. This 5.5L V8 engine generated 382hp which it sent to the rear wheels via a 5 speed automatic transmission. Production of the CLK550 ended in 2009, although a few examples are known to have been sold in 2010. It is common to find CLK 550's mislabeled as CLK 500's, although production of the CLK500 ended in 2006.
