In 1997, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the CLK. Based on the C-Class, the CLK was introduced as a mid-size, entry-level luxury car. Produced over two distinct generations (C208, C209), the CLK was available as a coupe or convertible, and was offered with three different engines over the course of production (I4, V6, V8). Two AMG performance variants were available, as well as an even more focused Black version. Notable special editions include the CLK DTM as well as the CLK GTR.
