The Mercedes-Benz 350GD T (later the G350 Turbodiesel), was a diesel powered variant of the W463 G-Class that was introduced for 1992. Available in both short and long wheelbase versions, as well as convertible or wagon body styles, the 350GD T was powered by Mercedes' OM603 D35 A engine. This 3.5L turbocharged inline six diesel engine generated 134hp and 225 lb ft of torque. Drive was sent from the engine to all four wheels via a 4 speed automatic transmission. In late 1993, Mercedes changed their naming system, moving the letter designation to the front of the displacement designation, thus changing the name of the 350GD T to the G350 Turbodiesel. A total of 4,292 examples of the Mercedes-Benz 350GD T/G350 Turbodiesel were built before the end of production in 1996.
