This second generation of Cyclone, also known as the Comet Cyclone, saw the addition of a convertible to the already established coupe. The second generation Cyclone would also see the introduction of the more powerful and desirable Cyclone GT. Production of the second generation Cyclone continued until 1967, when it was replaced by the Third Generation Mercury Cyclone.
