Motorenwerke Zschopau GmbH, more commonly referred to as MZ, is a German motorcycle manufacturer that first began operations in 1906. The company has a built a wide range of motorcycles throughout its history, and has participated in a variety of motorsports disciplines. MZ had a long and complicated ownership history before eventually closing its doors in 2013.
