To replace the 370Z, the Nissan Z - RZ34 was introduced for the 2023 model year. It maintains the classic two-door sports coupe format with rear-wheel drive, a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission and a design that pays homage to both the original 240Z and the 300ZX. Powered by a 3.0L twin turbo V6 engine producing 400hp, the RZ34 represents a return to the Z's roots as an accessible sports car, focused on driver enjoyment, combining retro style with modern technology. Base trim levels include the Sport and the Performance with upgrades such as larger brakes, a limited-slip differential, a sport-tuned suspension, Rays wheels and more refined interior details. Special editions include the limited-production Z Proto Spec with unique color and trim details, and the 2024 NISMO Z, a more radical version with 420hp, aerodynamic improvements, a reinforced chassis and only an automatic transmission geared toward track performance.
