The Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was introduced in 1966 as a trim level for the Oldsmobile Cutlass. Starting in 1967, the Cutlass Supreme became its own model, created with the purpose of being a more luxurious, well appointed line of cars. The Cutlass Supreme was built in five generations: 1st Gen (1966-1967), 2nd Gen (1968-1972), 3rd Gen (1973-1977), 4th Gen (1978-1988), and 5th Gen (1988-1997).
