The second generation of Plymouth Barracuda was introduced for the 1967 model year. While still based on the Plymouth Valiant, the second generation Barracuda saw the model separate from the Valiant. The second generation Barracuda was available as a coupe, fastback coupe, and convertible. Second generation Barracuda engines include slant six and V8. A limited run of around fifty Hemi-fitted cars were built by Plymouth for drag racing purposes. The second generation Barracuda was built until 1969 and was replaced by the Third Generation Plymouth Barracuda.
