The Studebaker M-Series was a family of trucks that was introduced for the 1941 model year. The M-Series consisted of three main variants, the 1/2 ton M5, the 1 ton M15, and the 1-1/2 ton M16. While all M5, and M15 versions were fitted with a 2.8L inline six engine, the M16 versions were powered by a larger 3.7L inline six unit. The only available transmission for the M-Series was a four speed manual. Production of the M-Series trucks lasted until 1948, when the model was replaced by the Studebaker R-Series.
