The 5th generation Toyota Supra (J29) was released for the 2020 model year. Unlike previous Supras, this generation is manufactured in Graz, Austria by Magna Steyr, and is closely related to the G29 BMW Z4. This 5th gen Supra is powered by two different BMW turbocharged engines - the 2.0-liter B48 four-cylinder producing 255hp, and the 3.0-liter B58 inline-six producing 335hp in model year 2020, and 382hp in 2021. It was initally launched with an automatic transmission only, but a manual was made available for the 3.0L inline-six only. In the US, in addition to a Premium variant with additional creature comforts, certain special editions were offered such as the Launch Edition (2020) and the A91 special editions offered in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
