Volkswagen introduced the Corrado in 1989. Based on the Mk2 Golf/Jetta platform, the Corrado was a 3-door coupe, with a front mounted engine sending power to the front wheels. Standard Corrado models were fitted with a variety of inline 4 engines, including a supercharged version known as the Corrado G60, yet the top of the line model was the Corrado VR6. Interestingly, the Corrado was the first production car to feature an automatic rear spoiler. Produced until 1995, the Corrado is a very well regarded and desirable model.
