The Toyota Motor Company was founded in 1937. Spun off from Toyota Industries, the Toyota Motor Company has gone on to become one of the world's largest automotive manufacturers, producing cars under five different brands: Toyota, Daihatsu, Ranz, Lexus, and Hino. The company also holds stakes in a number of other automotive producers such as Subaru and Mazda. Toyota has a reputation for building very reliable and durable cars such as the Camry and Hilux Pickup. Toyota has a proud motorsports history and has also produced some legendary sports cars such as the 2000GT and the Supra. One of Toyota's best known models is the Land Cruiser, a nearly bulletproof 4x4 offroad vehicle that has cemented its place in automotive history, due in no small part to the revered FJ40 Land Cruiser.
