This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible is an SS replica model that has been fitted with a 396ci V8 engine and a Turbo-350 three-speed automatic transmission. All power from this big block engine is sent to the rear wheels through a 12-bolt rear end. This Chevelle Malibu is painted black and complemented with a black vinyl convertible top and red interior. The car is equipped with a floor shifter, and power steering. The car has also been modified with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, and exhaust headers, as well as a Sunpro tachometer and an oil/water/fuel gauge cluster mounted under the modern aftermarket stereo unit. The Chevelles five-digit odometer shows 51,658 miles, but the total mileage is unknown. It is located in Kirkland, Washington.

The third-party photos and inspection capture a deep black paint that shows well. The paint does have some spots of damage on the hood and rear of the vehicle that are displayed in the inspection report. The interior is in overall good condition with only minor wear that is consistent for the age of the car. This Chevelle does have a few minor problems that require attention, such as worn tires, and inoperable tail and reverse lights, and horn. In addition, the engine appears to be seeping oil. About the model

The second generation of Chevrolet Chevelle was introduced for the 1968 model year. This updated generation of Chevelle saw updated styling, as well as improved mechanicals. Like the previous generation, a wide range of body styles were offered, including sedan, hardtop, convertible, coupe, station wagon (Nomad), and coupe utility (El Camino). Ten engine options were available, with two inline-six units and eight V8 units with the 7.4L unit having the largest displacement. Production of the second generation lasted until 1972 when it was replaced by the Third Generation Chevrolet Chevelle.
