For 1971 to 1976, the 9th Gen Eldorado was fitted with a 8.2L V8 engine, and from 1977 to 1978, it was fitted with a 7.0L V8. The ninth-generation Eldorado was in production until 1978 and was replaced by the Tenth Generation Cadillac Eldorado.
