Details
This 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 was modified in 2020 and currently shows 122,834 miles on the odometer. It's powered by a 4.2L carbureted inline-six-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels through a dual-range part-time 4WD system. It retains its original brown paint and tan-striped cloth interior and comes factory-equipped with air conditioning. The truck was acquired by the seller from Oregon, moved to Texas, and subsequently modified with a suspension lift, an ARB front bumper with SmittyBilt XRC winch, a Safari Snorkel, and a Front Runner slimline roof rack. It rides on new 20-inch ADT wheels and a set of Toyo Open Country tires. Inside, a new Tuffy locking center console has been installed. The included CarFax report begins with entries in 1993 and shows regular service, no issues, and ownership in Oregon and then Texas, where the vehicle is currently located.
A third-party inspection and detailed photos show the vehicle to be in good condition with minor scratches to the exterior that are consistent with its age and mileage. Inside the vehicle, there is minor wear, also consistent with its age, and the Kenwood radio/cassette player is found not fully functional. Following a road test, the vehicle was noted to perform as expected with no issues found in the operation of the engine, transmission, steering, or braking. A video shows the smooth-running engine. Included with the vehicle are two sets of keys, the owner s manual, and service/modification records.

About the model
Introduced for model year 1981, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 inherited the 4.2-liter inline 6-cylinder 2F gasoline engine from one of its predecessors, the FJ40. With its larger, more modern body, it helped drive Toyota's competitive position in the emerging sport utility vehicle market in the US and abroad. In the US, it was replaced by the more powerful FJ62 in 1988.
