At CLASSIC.COM, we’re always looking for ways to connect serious buyers with the right cars – and now we’re making the process even better. This month, we’re rolling out our new Verified Buyer program, designed to make the offer process safer and more reliable for everyone.
What is a Verified Buyer?
Verified Buyers are enthusiasts and collectors who have gone through an identity verification process before submitting an offer. That means every offer you receive comes from someone who’s already been vetted and is ready to move forward – no low-ballers, no ghost leads.
How it Works
- Buyer clicks the Make Offer button on a Verified Seller listing.
- Buyer completes a quick verification process through our third-party integration with Stripe.
- Offers are limited to within 20% of the asking price, so Sellers only get serious inquiries.
- Negotiation happens through CLASSIC.COM
- Buyer details remain anonymous until and offer is accepted, giving them confidence and privacy.
- Once accepted, the Buyer’s contact information is shared with the Seller, and both parties commit to act in good faith to close the deal within 30 days.
- Seller pays a $499 Success Fee once the sale is closed. There is no buyer’s fee.
Why Sellers Love It
- More exposure – over time, listings that accept offers get more promotion on our platform.
- Qualified leads – every offer comes from a buyer who’s verified and committed.
- Time savings – fewer tire-kickers, more real opportunities.
- Trusted platform – leverage CLASSIC.COM’s marketplace reputation and data tools to close deals with confidence.
