Alfa Romeo introduced their coupe bodied 1900 cars in 1950. Powered by 1.9L or 2.0L inline four engine, the 1900 coupes are some of the most desirable and varied groups of cars in Alfa's history. As the 1900 had been developed with coachbuilders in mind, a large number of coachbuilders made a variety of cars built using the 1900 and 1900C (short) chassis. While there were a number of one-offs and limited production specials, such as the 1900 Sport, Alfa produced a few notable variants in-house, including the Sprint and the Super Sprint. The coachbuilt and individual nature of many of the Alfa Romeo 1900 coupes requires a special attention to each example's history.
