The Ambassador name was previously used for the Rambler Ambassador, but starting in 1966, the model was rebadged as an AMC model. The Ambassador was one of AMC's top models, and was available in sedan, coupe, and station wagon body styles, and was offered with a selection of inline six or V8 engine options.
