BMW introduced the X3, their new series of mid-size SUVs for the 2004 model year. Based on the 3 Series, this new series of cars were offered with a variety of inline 4 and inline 6 engines. The X3 has seen 3 generations: the E83 (2004-2010), the F25 (2011-2017), and the G01 (2018-2024).
