The first generation Lamborghini Diablo SV was produced between 1995 and 1998. With "SV" meaning Super Veloce, or super fast, the SV used Lamborghini's 510hp 5.7L V12 engine. Unlike the Diablo VT, the SV was a strictly rear wheel drive car, making it a lively car to drive. The 1st Gen SV had numerous distinctive design updates to differentiate it from other Diablo models. The SV featured a rear mounted adjustable spoiler as standard. The rear of the SV also featured black moldings around the taillights, as well as the addition of a new black panel between the rear lights. The rear fog and reverse lights were repositioned onto the rear bumper. The SV had more power and larger brakes than the VT, so more cooling was necessary, which can be seen in the addition of two brake cooling ducts to the front bumper, an SE30 type engine cover with two parallel air scoops, and updated rear brake air intake ducts. The first generation SV is one of most well regarded Diablos due to its slightly refined madness, but also its poster worthy looks.
