Introduced in 1971, the Bora was Maserati's first mid-engine road car. The first car produced under Citroën ownership, the Bora was produced for eight years, and offered with either a 4.7L or 4.9L V8 engine. The car used a complex hydraulic system to operate various elements such as the brakes, and the pop-up headlights. Styled by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Bora was a striking example of Italian design.
