This 2.2L inline six powerplant generated 118hp that was sent to the rear wheels via a standard 4 speed manual transmission, although a 4 speed automatic was optional. Production of the W111 220SE Cabriolet lasted until late 1965, with just a total of 2,729 examples built. The 220SE cabriolet was replaced by the Mercedes-Benz 250SE Cabriolet.
