Mercedes-Benz introduced their cabriolet variant of the W111 in 1961. This series of cabriolets were some of Mercedes' most luxurious and refined cars at the time. W111 cabriolet variants were fitted with different displacement versions of Mercedes' inline 6 engines, these included the 220SE Cabriolet, 250SE Cabriolet, and the 280SE Cabriolet.
