The Studebaker Champion was a series of cars that was introduced for the 1939 model year. The Champion was introduced as Studebaker's entry level model, and until 1952, this series of cars were full-size automobiles. From 1953 onwards, the model became a mid-size offering. Studebaker built five generations of Champion: 1st Gen (1939-1941), 2nd Gen (1942-1946), 3rd Gen (1947-1952), 4th Gen (1953-1956), and 5th Gen (1957-1958).
