The Triumph TR8 is an eight-cylinder version of the "wedge-shaped" Triumph TR7 sports car that was designed by Harris Mann. Introduced in 1978, the TR8 was often dubbed the "English Corvette" due to its outstanding performance. These cars were built in Roadster and Coupe body styles, with the majority of TR8s sold in the United States and Canada. It is estimated that only about 2,750 TR8's ever existed, with the majority being convertible versions. Production of the Triumph TR8 ended in 1981.
