Triumph TR8 Coupe (1978 to 1981)

The TR8 came to market in 1978 as the heir of the famous TR7. While the majority of TR8s were Roadsters, a few examples were built as coupes. Some minor changes in looks were made, but the biggest changes came in the mechanical aspects. This new TR had a 3.5-litre all-aluminum V8 rated at 148bhp matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Most of the TR8’s were sold in USA and Canada, and they often referred to this model as the “English Corvette”.
