The OT 2000 was introduced by Abarth in 1965. It was a 2 door coupe based on the Fiat 850 Coupe, with rear-wheel drive and a 5 speed manual transmission. It was powered by a 1946cc inline four engine with double overhead camshafts and Weber carburetors, capable of delivering 185hp. Its reinforced, lightweight body was optimized for competition, highlighting its power and performance on fast circuits. It was conceived as a Group 4 touring car, competing against larger-displacement rivals and establishing itself as one of Abarth's most radical and powerful versions of the 1960s. The Abarth OT 2000 was produced until 1968.
