The Alpine A610 was a series of sports cars that was introduced in 1991. The A610 was the successor to the Alpine GTA, and was offered as a two door, 2+2 coupe. Like most Alpine models, the A610 featured a rear-mounted engine, which was a 3.0L turbocharged V6 unit. This 247hp engine sent its power to the rear wheels via a 5 speed manual transmission. Although the A610 received favorable reviews, the model did not sell as well as anticipated, with just a total of 818 examples built before the model was discontinued in 1995. After the end of the A610, the Alpine brand lay dormant until 2018, when a new generation of the Alpine A110 was introduced.
