Apollo Automobil was founded in 2016 as the successor company to Gumpert, following the acquisition of its assets by Hong Kong investors. The brand abandoned the "Gumpert" name and adopted a more exclusive identity, while maintaining the philosophy of extreme supercars. Its first model was the Apollo Intensa Emozione, introduced in 2017. It later introduced the Apollo Project EVO as an evolution of the IE. Apollo Automobil positions itself in the segment of highly limited production hypercars, focused on pure performance and exclusivity.
