The Audi RS3 debuted in 2011 as the top performance variant of the 2nd Gen Audi A3. The RS3, which was largely an even more potent version of the S3 came in the five-door “Sportback” hatchback body style. Carbon fiber reinforced wheel flares were added to the exterior to fit the 19-inch wheels, on which the body sits at a lower ride height than the A3. The RS3 received a unique 2.5L inline five-cylinder turbocharged engine that pushes 340hp through a seven-speed dual-clutch "S-Tronic" automatic transmission distributed through an all-wheel-drive system. The drive package allows the RS3 to go from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds. Production of the 2nd Gen Audi RS3 lasted until 2012, but the model series would continue in the next generation of Audi A3 as the Third Generation Audi RS3.
