The F800 Motorrad was introduced in 2006 by BMW. Its a family of mid-displacement motorcycles characterized by their modern approach: lightness and great versatility. All F800 models share a 798cc parallel twin engine, liquid-cooled and with DOHC valve train, paired to a 6 speed manual transmission and chain final drive, with the distinctive fuel tank located under the seat to improve the center of gravity. The range included the F800S (2006–2010), a sport-touring model; the F800ST (2006–2012), more touring oriented and comfortable; the F800R (2009–2015), a naked roadster; the F800GS (2008–2018), an adventure oriented and commercially successful trail bike; the F800GS Adventure (2013–2018), designed for long journeys and demanding off-road riding; and the F800GT (2013–2018), a true grand tourer in the series. The BMW F800 was produced until 2018.
