BMW R60/2 (1960 to 1969)

The BMW R60/2 was a family of motorcycles that was introduced in 1960. The R60/2 was largely an improved and more powerful version of the BMW R60, featuring the same engine, but with an output of 30hp from the 600cc horizontally opposed twin powerplant. These shaft drive motorcycles were equipped with a 4 speed transmission, and in production until 1969. A variation of the R60/2 featuring telescopic forks was introduced in 1968 under the name BMW R60US.
