The C-4R was introduced by Briggs Cunningham in 1952. It was a competition car designed specifically for endurance races such as Le Mans and Sebring. Only three were built: two open roadsters and a streamlined coupe (C-4RK). All were powered by a 5.4L V8 engine, modified for competition with power reaching 340hp. Featuring rear-wheel drive and a 3-speed manual transmission, these cars represented the pinnacle of Briggs Cunningham engineering, achieving significant entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. There are faithful replicas of the C-4R known as "Continuation". These units were produced in extremely limited quantities respecting the original plans, technical specifications and materials used in the original cars. The Briggs Cunningham C-4R was produced until 1955.
