The 2nd gen Cadillac Calais came to market in 1971 as a sedan and two-door coupe. The 2nd gen Calais looked more stylish after the facelift from the prior generation, which was now offered with the same 472ci V8 or the newer 500ci V8 sourced from it’s sibling model the Eldorado; both engines we paired to an automatic gearbox with power being sent to the rear wheels. Production of the Calais came to an end in 1976 when it was succeeded by the Cadillac Seville.
