DAF 2600/2605 (1967 to 1973)

The 2600/2605 model was introduced in 1967 by DAF as a series of commercial trucks. These vehicles were primarily offered as chassis cabs, configurable for various industrial and transport applications, with rear-wheel drive and manual transmissions, including 6 to 8 speed gearboxes, some with a splitter allowing up to 12 speeds. The 2600 series featured inline 6 diesel engines with displacements of 10.6L up to 11.6L, while the 2605 incorporated more powerful versions with the 11.6L DKA 1160 engine, optimized for heavier loads. Among its notable features are the robustness of the engine and the durability of the chassis, which made these trucks benchmarks in heavy transport in Europe during the early 1970s. The DAF 2600/2605 was produced until 1973.
