The Daffodil was introduced by DAF in 1961. This rear wheel drive car was available as a 2 door coupe, familiar station wagon and pickup. Its continuously variable automatic transmission was innovative for its time because it did not required traditional gears and offered a smooth ride. The Daffodil was produced on four generations: DAF 30 (1961-1963), DAF 31 (1963-1965), DAF 32 (1965-1967) and DAF 33 (1967-1974). Depending on the generation this car could have a 650cc, 740cc or 840cc flat 2 cylinders engines. The DAF Daffodil was produced until 1974.
