Devin D

The D model was introduced by Devin in 1958. It was designed to offer an affordable sports car without sacrificing style or performance. It maintained the classic Devin fiberglass roadster body, mounted on a tubular chassis adapted for rear-wheel drive and a 4 speed manual transmission. It was designed to use air-cooled Volkswagen or Porsche engines, making it light, agile and affordable, both in assembled versions and as a kit for enthusiasts. Its balance of Italian aesthetics, low weight and mechanical reliability made it one of the brand's most popular models, widely used in amateur competition and custom projects throughout the late 1950s and early 1960s.
