The Ducati Mike Hailwood Replica (MHR) was a tribute to Mike Hailwood’s stunning comeback victory aboard a Ducati 900 SS at the Isle of Man in 1978. Ducati launched the MHR in 1979 as a special edition blending racing pedigree with bold styling reminiscent of Hailwood’s race bike. Based on the 864cc L-twin engine—later upgraded to 973 cc—the MHR was produced until 1986 and offered in several variants, from the original 900 MHR to the refined MHR Mille versions, which featured improved braking, electronics, and finishes.
