The GT3 version of the Ferrari F430 was introduced in 2006. It was developed by the Italian tuner Kessel Racing in collaboration with Ferrari, as the competition version of the F430 intended for the FIA GT3 category. It maintains the mid-rear engine and rear-wheel drive configuration, but features widened bodywork, optimized aerodynamics with a large racing wing and diffuser, and reduced weight through the extensive use of carbon fiber. The 4.3L V8 engine was tuned to meet GT3 regulations, producing around 550hp. It uses a racing sequential gearbox and track-tuned suspension. This model competed successfully in European and national GT championships, notable for its reliability and dynamic balance. The Ferrari F430 GT3 was produced until 2009.
