The Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole Cabriolet was a newly introduced convertible version the Mondial. Along with its coupe sibling, the new Quattrovalvole (or QV) introduced a four-valve head on the 3.0 liter V8 engine capable of 240 hp (179 kW). Other than the convertible top, appearance was largely as per the Mondial 8, although with red engine heads and prominent "Quattrovalvole" script at the rear. 629 cabriolets were produced between 1983 and 1985, making this the rarest version of the Mondial. The Mondial QV was phased out with the introduction of the Ferrari Mondial 3.2 in 1985.
